  • Police Officer of the Year in 1999, recognized by the Department of Justice in Washington DC
  • Multi-lingual translator for the Police Department
  • Trained in Gang activity and recognition of how to deflate sensitive multi-cultural issues
  • Sought and executed multiple search warrants that led to 30 percent reduction in crime 2010-2013
  • Completed and trained in DNA collection by the FBI and Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Spearheaded effort to streamline gang activity in 1 zip code in Somerville, MA
  • Successfully implemented FBI protocols for detecting crime activity in the community

  • Led initiative to transition 10% of Somerville’s crime detection techniques to crime prevention models

Community Police Officer                   

  • Consulted Mayor of Somerville and Chief of police to bring crime reduction to the local zip-codes
  • Program managed initial launch of City of Somerville’s Community Policing
  • Developed and launched standardized account planning process, including methodology to track metrics, progress, and drive behavior in the community
  • Identified and delivered improvements to the Community Refresh process and enablement, resulting in decreased crime activity for core zip-codes and competencies  
  • Created presentations for large Town Hall meetings to influence community behavior 
  • Recognized for outstanding end-to-end program management and recipient of “Above and Beyond” award

High School Police Officer                       

  • Led integration of Somerville Public Schools processes while combining resources to bring down activity in the schools
  • Successfully influenced  comprehensive development framework to incorporate state requirements in collaboration with  Unit leadership; improved crime readiness for all metrics bringing crime in schools down by 25%.
  • Collaborated with the Headmaster of Schools Readiness and Academic Units to improve relationships of students and city requirements into roadmaps by 50%
  • Led cross-functional teams across State Police, Mayor’s Office, School Department, Sales, to support new product launches from requirements by the Federal Government 
  • Executed Community program and drove school deliverables from inception through launch
  • Identified and managed risks; ensured resolution of issues impacting successful program execution
  • Communicated school readiness to the Business Management Team (BMT) at every major milestone and phase exit checkpoint
  • Delivered over 50% increase in school coops;  generating opportunities through cross-functional collaboration and problem solving to deliver non-standard ways of dealing with student crime
